As we approach All Hallows’ Eve (Hallowe’en), All Souls Day and the Mexican Day of the Dead it seems fitting that we have just facilitated our inaugural Death and Dying Discussion group evening. Over the year I’ve held several workshops on the subject of The Lost Art of Simple Dying (click here), and it became clear that there was an interest for people to continue the discussion after the day ended. To that end, former participants in the workshop were invited to join together for a discussion evening.
It was a heart-opening evening, full of authentic sharing of experiences, and culminating in a discussion about approaches to supporting someone who is grieving. The ability to sit in a room with people who are prepared to tackle the often difficult subjects of death, dying and bereavement feels like a great privilege. We can hold space and we can learn from each other’s experiences. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who came for your presence and wisdom ♥
Future participants of The Lost Art of Simple Dying workshops will be invited to join the group if they wish. (Or we may start a second one if it becomes too big.)
Please contact me here if you would like to find out more about attending a workshop.
