This weekend I was delighted to facilitate a Soul Midwife Intro Day in Hertfordshire. The one day workshop offers participants the chance to find out more about the craft of Soul Midwifery. Throughout the day we explore death and dying in a safe and confidential environment, where people are invited to share their experiences. I am always humbled to hear stories of what has brought people to the course, and I always learn something from my students. I believe it is a measure of the “heart” of Soul Midwife work which enables a group of strangers to come together in learning, with a feeling of community, connection and love. At the end of the day, when we stand together in a closing circle, there is a real sense of sharing a purpose. Some will go on to train as Soul Midwives, and others will not, but all will have been touched in some way by this ancient, heartfelt wisdom.
If you would like to find out more about being a Soul Midwife, please look on the Soul Midwives’ School website for course dates.
